• Over 1,800 financial institutions countrywide are insured on average, including trust companies and banks in organization. Of those, 1 in 3 California financial institutions are insureds.
• This is the only insurance program in the marketplace that offers a distribution for both Professional Lines and P&C. The program’s reinsurer, American Bankers Mutual Insurance, Ltd., has declared distributions to participating banks for 36 consecutive years, totaling over $108 million. To date, nearly $8 million of that has been shared with California banks. In 2026, California financial institutions shared over $138,000.
