SACRAMENTO — The California Bankers Association (CBA) celebrates the outstanding commitment of its member banks following the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco (FHLBank San Francisco) announcement of its latest Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant round. The $27.2 million in funding secured by 13 CBA-member banks will support 19 projects and 1,377 housing units across California.
"Our member banks continue to show what it means to invest in the communities they serve," said Kevin Gould, president and CEO of CBA. "These awards represent real partnerships between local banks and community-based organizations to tackle the housing challenges facing Californians and provide access to affordable housing. We are proud to recognize their commitment."
The following CBA member banks had projects selected to receive AHP awards this year:

- Community West Bank
- East West Bank
- Farmers & Merchants Bank of Central California
- Golden Valley Bank
- Mechanics Bank
- Montecito Bank & Trust
- Tri Counties Bank
- Wells Fargo National Bank
- Western Alliance Bank
The awards to CBA member banks are part of a broader $66.3 million in AHP General Fund and Nevada Targeted Fund grants by FHLBank San Francisco to support 45 projects that will create nearly 2,900 much-needed affordable homeownership and rental units for individuals and families in need of a safe, stable place to call home. Since the program's inception in 1990, FHLBank San Francisco has awarded $1.48 billion in AHP grants, supporting nearly 160,000 affordable homes across its district.
