Anita Robinson is a former bank CEO and the first woman to chair the California Bankers Association. Anita is also the founder of the Women in Banking Forum.
Melanie Cuevas

Melanie Cuevas serves as the vice president of government relations for the California Bankers Association, where her advocacy portfolio focuses mainly on issues related to cannabis, debt collection, labor and employment, political reform, privacy, and agricultural, student and military lending.

Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris proudly represents California’s 73rd Assembly District – the cities of Costa Mesa, Irvine and Tustin.
Cottie Petrie-Norris is a businesswoman, mom, and community leader who was elected to the State Assembly in 2018. In the Assembly, Cottie has worked to secure millions of dollars in funding for projects across Orange County and has passed important legislation to protect the California coast, improve healthcare and help local veterans and small businesses.

Michele Andujo Gil is Managing Partner and majority equity owner with more than 25 years of recruiting and management experience at the Los Angeles-based Chrisman & Company, a national executive search consultancy to financial and related industries. She leads the firm’s board of directors practice as well as searches for senior/executive management positions including C-level positions for prominent clients in banking and financial services. Clients include regional and community banks, investment banks, wealth management, FinTechs, credit unions, as well as other sectors in the financial services industry. Mrs. Gil has experience working with bank regulatory agencies (FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve and DFP&I). She consults with boards of directors and executive teams on issues concerning succession planning, leadership development and human capital strategies.
Joyce Kwon

Joyce Kwon is the Senior Vice President and Human Resources Director for Citizens Business Bank. She is responsible for leading the Bank’s core values and culture through the Human Resources Department. Joyce has been in the Financial Industry for 25 years, the majority of her tenure with Wells Fargo and City National Bank. She has cultivated a reputation for designing, implementing, and leading forward-thinking and sustainable HR programs, policies, and procedures in the areas of Total Rewards and Benefits, Talent Branding and Acquisition, HR Planning and Analytics, Leadership Development, and Employee Relations to enable the Bank’s strategy, engage associates, and deliver business outcomes and performance.
Virginia Varela

As a dynamic banker with over 35 years of experience, including as a senior level federal bank regulator and a C-Suite bank executive, Virginia Varela has served in a broad range of diverse professional capacities. Currently, Virginia is an Officer and President of SoFi Bank, N.A. (“SoFi”), and Head of Community Banking. SoFi, a large fast growing global FinTech company that became a unique national bank charter in 2022, offers expansive leading edge digitalized financial products and services to over 7 million customers. Virginia was the President, CEO, and Director of Golden Pacific Bank for eight years. Golden Pacific Bancorp was acquired by SoFi Technology, Inc. in February 2022 after a national search for a merger partner.

Cancellation Policy
Registration fees less a $25 processing fee per registrant will be refunded if cancellation is received by Tuesday, February, 28, 2023. No refund if cancellations are received after Tuesday, February, 28. Substitutions welcomed.
