Writing Loan Narratives
Two hour tele-web seminar October 11, 2012
This tele-web seminar will begin on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Pacific Time.
The program will present proven write-up formats plus suggestions for content and frequency of credit memos in connection with new credit applications. The program will also contain a discussion of summary credit descriptions for the file that will allow any other lender to understand a relationship and help the customer in the absence of the servicing officer. Loan review documentation format and content will be addressed. Documentation for “the file” that will facilitate more efficient bank examiner reviews will also be presented.
- Defining purpose and goals for various purpose “write-ups;”
- Consideration of possible report formats;
- Discussion of proper or best language and style;
- “Write-up” content and frequency;
- Fair lending and lender liability questions.
The program has been designed for senior credit managers, loan officers, credit analysts, loan reviewers, internal auditors and any other banker who works with loan files and would like to improve documentation and internal communication related to lending.
Bob Ullom – the program is led by Bob Ullom, nationally known banking educator and past-president of two successful start-up banks which were both fast-growing and profitable. A CPA, Bob brings over forty years of audit and bank lending and management experience to this fast-paced program. Since 1990, Bob has taught in 38 states on a variety of credit, documentation, management and compliance topics.
