Moss Adams LLP and the California Bankers Association has teamed up to provide a quarterly accounting update webinar series that is designed to keep your finance team up to speed on the latest developments in income taxes, financial reporting and accounting issues impacting community banks.
This webinar series will include a one hour presentation by senior level professionals of Moss Adams LLP and is geared specifically for community bank CFO’s, Controllers and others involved with the financial reporting function. The webinars will take place approximately 45 days after each quarter end and will include a question and answer session.
Banks continually face many challenges from an accounting and regulatory compliance perspective, with additional changes on the horizon. Get up to speed on new and proposed accounting issues that affect community banks as well as hot topics impacting your institution.

Shannon Avrett, CPA
Shannon has been in public accounting since 2006, after a career in retail banking. As a member of the firm’s Financial Services Group, she provides audit and review services to governmental entities engaged in lending activities, credit unions, and community banks, including SEC registrants. Shannon has served institutions ranging in size from $50 million to $8 billion in total assets. She is also a member of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plans Group and provides audit services for both defined contribution plans (401k and 403b) and defined benefit plans to clients in a variety of industries.
Kevin Fernandez, CPA
Kevin graduated from California State University, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, and has been in public accounting since 2010. His primary focus is providing assurance services to both public and private clients in various industry groups including financial institutions, manufacturing and distribution, and food and agriculture. Kevin is also a member of the AICPA and CalCPA.
