IT Exam Hotspots
It’s official, the examiners are back to full scope IT examinations; and while not a lot has changed with the basic exam process, a few “hotspots” have surfaced. The general areas still include the audit scope, management oversight, network and core processing controls, compliance with GLBA, business continuity planning, vendor management, and incident response planning.
However, in addition to the standard areas we’re seeing some targeted focus on online banking and cash management, social media policies and use and BYOD.
