4 Key Steps to a Practical Business Continuity Plan in an IT World
Session 1 will help you develop and implement a comprehensive BCP that will significantly reduce operating risks. Session 2 demonstrates a practical approach to business continuity and disaster recovery that builds upon the IT risk assessment.

Federal regulators require emergency preparedness plans to ensure continuity of business in an unlikely event that can cause significant interruption. While interruptions to business processes are more likely than disastrous events, the consequences to the community bank can be severe if proper disaster recovery and continuity planning does not occur.

This training seminar demonstrates a practical approach to business continuity and disaster recovery that builds upon the IT risk assessment. It will review regulatory guidance from the FFIEC, FDIC, OCC, and Federal Reserve and build a repeatable process for Business Continuity Planning. Topics include:

  • Business impact analysis
  • Risk assessment
  • Risk management (plan development)
  • Monitoring and testing strategies

This discussion will include the integration of Pandemic Preparedness Planning and also demonstrate how Business Continuity Planning is different than Incident Response Planning. This session will review the actual regulations, show useful processes, and demonstrate how to accomplish key steps in the process.
