Doug is a bank, insurance and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) auditor with fourteen years of experience at RSM. Prior to joining RSM, Doug gained 11 years of accounting experience and practiced operational auditing with various clients focusing on small business clients seeking standard Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) internal control practices for their various businesses. During Doug’s 25 years as an auditor, he worked with the banking, insurance, manufacturing and real estate industries.

Doug’s portfolio of client work includes the following:

  • Leads RSM’s west region in all commercial loan review engagements for financial institutions ranging in size from 25 million to 15 billion in assets
  • Conducted various loan compliance and internal audit review engagements for several West Coast and Midwest banks

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC):

  • Served as investigations manager for numerous failed institutions in California and Arizona from 2009 to 2011 focusing on litigation support for commercial lending claims
  • Served as a subject matter expert for commercial lending, credit administration and allowance for loan and lease losses (ALLL)
  • Assisted client with pro-forma and accounting duties for a bank receivership over a five-month period from July 2008 to December 2008 (the receivership successfully closed in April 2009)
  • Performed business process control testing
