Carol Hartman is Managing Director, Business Development at Tassat Group Inc., the leading provider of private blockchain-based B2B real-time payments and financial services solutions to banks. Carol has more than 25 years advising C-Suite executives and boards on leadership, competitive intelligence, growth, succession, and risk management strategies.

Ms. Hartman is an entrepreneurial leader who has founded two highly successful firms, including one that led to the creation of the Financial Services practice at a global executive search company, DHR International. Prior to her experience in executive search, Carol worked for Oppenheimer & Co Inc, Kidder Peabody, Dean Witter and Sutro & Company in corporate finance, investment products development, institutional equity and fixed income sales and trading and in M&A. She is also a Certified Expert Witness in CA Superior Courts on matters of compensation and executive employment.

Her expertise has been primarily focused on the complexities of the financial services industry with a firsthand understanding of capital markets, institutional investments across all asset classes, wealth management, compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements. She held several FINRA securities licenses when she was with brokers/dealers.

Carol Hartman also developed governance and leadership experience as a former member of the board of Trustees at Claremont McKenna College and as the Alumni Association president and has also served on Advisory Boards of early-stage companies.

In her free time, she is always enthusiastically planning her next great travel adventure, cooking paella for friends and spending time with her daughter.
