CBA Announces Bank Counsel Panelists: Legal Experts to Discuss Ethics Issues Faced by In-House Counsel
The California Bankers Association is excited to announce that featured legal panelists at this year’s 122nd Annual Convention and 46th Annual Bank Counsel Seminar will include general counsel, the chair of a major professional service litigation firm and a USC law professor.
Mike Cahill, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of City National Bank and City National Corporation, Robert Meyer, partner and chair of Professional Services Litigation and Donald Scotten, associate academic director, graduate and international programs, and adjunct assistant professor of law at USC, will present this year’s panel called, “Then Find a Way to do it: Ethics Issues Faced by In-House Counsel.”
The panelists will discuss ethical issues faced when counseling management about their expectations and drafting appropriate documents and disclosures. They will also touch on ethical consideration and conflicts faced by in-house and outside counsel when management sets goals that approach or exceed the limits of law and regulation.
