Eric Ellingsen – Chair-Elect
President and COO, California Bank & Trust


Eric Ellingsen has served as president and chief operating officer of California Bank & Trust since January 2016. Within CB&T, Ellingsen oversees the business and branch banking, which makes up more than 80 branches throughout the state, SBA lending, private banking, corporate services, and the bank’s finance and planning functions. Prior to his current role, Ellingsen was CB&T’s chief financial officer from 2012 to 2015 and was responsible for the overall financial management of the company. Prior to that, he served various management roles handling risk management, regulatory compliance, international banking, and asset/liability management.

Ellingsen is actively involved in the San Diego community and plays a role in supporting many non-profit and professional groups throughout the county and the state of California. In addition to being a board member with the California Bankers Association, Ellingsen has also served as president of the North American Asset and Liability Management Association.

Ellingsen received a BBA in finance from James Madison University and a MBA in finance from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
