The ABCs, Zs and DDs of Advertising and Marketing

When advertising loan and deposit products banks must deal with an array of state and federal laws, some of which apply to all advertising, some only to loans and others only to deposits. And with the emphasis on UDAP compliance under both state and federal laws, advertisers must be evermore careful to ensure their ads are clear, fair and non-deceptive. In addition, banks must comply with the laws governing unsolicited faxes, telemarketing calls and e-mails. This session will provide a review of recent changes to advertising rules under Regulations Z and DD, a review of UDAP compliance, and a limited discussion of the do-not-call, do-not-fax and CAN-SPAM rules. Join us for a fast-paced discussion of these current topics.
