The California Bankers Association congratulates Richard Hartnack, who was recognized as the Distinguished Banker of the Year for his longstanding service to the banking industry and to the CBA during the association’s Bank Presidents Seminar, held January 7-10, 2015 in Santa Barbara.

Rick, a longtime U.S Bank executive and former CBA chairman, is currently chairman of Synchrony Financial, the United States’ largest provider of private label credit cards.

For the past decade, CBA has honored one of its bankers who has personified what it is to be a distinguished California banker – a banker that is dedicated to the industry and also serves as a leader within the California Bankers Association. Serving customers, managing a well performing bank, while also sharing time, leadership and expertise with the association is no easy task and it is important for the industry to honor these leaders.

Congratulations, again, Rick!
