Fielded nearly a dozen incoming media inquiries, which focused on a wide range of issues including the transition to EMV chip cards, issues surrounding banking medical marijuana dispensaries and various legislative issues such as PACE lending and minimum wage increases.

Media interviews were conducted with the American Banker, CBS13 (Sacramento), Reuters, Sacramento Business Journal, and the San Diego Business Journal among other publications and news outlets.

Distributed an opinion editorial from President and CEO Rod Brown titled, “Let’s Celebrate Dodd-Frank’s Anniversary by Fixing It” noting the need for common-sense reform to several aspects of the act, and highlighting our support for regulatory relief legislation currently before Congress. The op-ed ran across the Bay Area News Group’s slate of newspapers as well as in the Orange County Register.

Launched a two-week public awareness and education campaign which focused on the following themes: California banks’ ongoing investments in technology to make banking safer for customers, including the deployment of chip-based credit cards; their ongoing commitment to protecting customers’ financial information and ensuring their customers are made whole financially in the event of a data breach at a retailer. The 60-second radio spot, ran across more than 630 stations, both AM and FM, in following the markets: Sacramento, Chico, Fresno and Bakersfield for two weeks, and on one Los Angeles station, KFI-AM, for one week. We also ran digital ads focused on the same key message points on the following news sites: sacbee.com (Sacramento Bee), modbee.com (Modesto Bee), Bakersfield.com (Bakersfield Californian) and pe.com (Riverside Press-Enterprise). The ad also ran on a number of Capitol news sources (Capitol Weekly and Rough & Tumble).

Tweeted more than 30 times to nearly 800 followers  on CBA’s Twitter social media profile to engage online with policymakers, members, the media and endorsed partners.

Worked closely with the events and education teams to design marketing materials to promote CBA events, conferences and seminars. Brochures and other collateral material were created for CBA’s inaugural State Capitol Advocacy Leadership Program, Risk and Cybersecurity Conference, CFO Conference, Enterprise Risk Management, Joint Washington, D.C. Visit, Chief Credit Officers Symposium and Regulatory Compliance Conference.

Assisted with several marketing campaigns to highlight new services or product offerings from endorsed partners Wolters Kluwer, Diebold, Equias Alliance and Office Depot and inaugural Capital Circle members The Baker Group and Moss Adams.
