CBA Hosts 61st Annual Legislative Conference
Last week, 110 CBA members representing 28 banks gathered in Sacramento for CBA’s 61st Annual Legislative Conference. Following a robust morning program, CBA members in attendance made the rounds at the state Capitol on behalf of our industry. In just four short hours, bankers visited 34 state Senators and 74 Assembly Members, bringing the combined total to 108 meetings with elected officials.
The one-day program included remarks by CBA President and CEO Rod Brown and CBA Chairman Jeff Ball. Following a legislative briefing by CBA’s state government relations advocacy team, attendees heard presentations from a select group of leaders in Sacramento, including Kevin de León, the chair of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and future Senate president pro tem, Jan Owen, commissioner of the Department of Business Oversight, and Kish Rajan, director of the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development.
CBA extends its sincere thanks to our conference sponsors CNA Insurance, Aldrich, Bonnefin & Moore and Promontory Interfinancial Network, and to everyone who participated and did an outstanding job of representing our industry at this important event.
