Call Report Preparation Seminar Scheduled in Three Weeks
Register now for the two-day seminar March 19-20 in Newport Beach

General information

Last month, the regulatory agencies finalized several changes to the call report to provide additional data for safety and soundness and other public purposes. Most of the changes will take effect in March. Basel III has been approved and the regulatory changes to risk weightings and capital will affect the call report. Additionally, any subsequent changes proposed by the regulators affecting the 2014 call report will be covered in this session of CBA’s Call Report Preparation seminar.

This two-day course will provide training in basic issues needed by beginning preparers, including general instructions, procedures and sources of information. Discussion of more complex issues will benefit experienced preparers. Participants are encouraged to bring their bank’s latest call report for resolution of questions during the session.

The workshop will be delivered by Ann Thomas, who has nearly 30 years of experience in bank accounting and control. In 1998, she organized Thomas Consulting and prepares monthly financial reports and bank plans, and performs regulatory compliance audits, training and internal control audits for several banks. Thomas has previously presented the call report seminar and has responded to questions from thousands of bankers in more than 18 states. Her experience working with a broad range of independent banks is of unique value in understanding call report questions and in communicating with bankers in their own language.

We are offering the course March 19 – 20 at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach in Universal City.
