FDIC Consumer Protection Workshop – The Director’s Role

How has the increased emphasis on consumer protection affected the roles of Bank Directors, Presidents, and Chief Executive Officers?
The FDIC San Francisco Region is pleased to announce the continuation of Community Bankers Workshops. The Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection is offering this half-day event covering current topics of interest.
The Workshop is interactive and is intended to further the FDIC’s dialogue with the industry. The Consumer Protection – Director’s Role Workshop will include discussion of corporate governance and consumer protection issues, followed by a mock Compliance Examination where participants are responsible for assigning a Compliance Rating and recommending corrective action.
The session will run from 8:00 a.m. to noon with breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The full registration fee will be refunded if the request is received by July 29, 2013, and 50 percent if by August 12, 2013. No refunds will be granted after August 12, 2013. Registrations made after August 12, 2013, are not subject to refund.

Sponsored learning activities are measured by program length, with one 50-minute period equal to one CPE credit. One-half CPE credit increments (equal to 25 minutes) are permitted after the first credit has been earned in a given learning activity. Please note that not all state boards have adopted this rule. Some participants may not be able to use one-half credit increments.
