Department of Consumer Affairs Releases Foreign Language Translation of Post-Foreclosure Tenant Notice
March 25, 2013
AB 2610, enacted last year, expands the rights of tenants on foreclosed property, including by extending the period that a month-to-month tenant may be evicted from 60 to 90 days after a foreclosure. The bill revised an existing notice requirement, and the new notice becomes effective 60 days after the DCA posts foreign language translations of the notice, which it did on February 25, 2013. See CBA’s Regulatory Compliance Bulletin for more information.
