Bill Fixes Uncertainties in Paid Sick Leave Law

The California legislature responded to concerns raised by employer groups about implementing last year’s AB 1522, which requires all California employers to provide paid sick leave. AB 304, signed by the governor and enacted as emergency legislation that becomes effective immediately, clarifies for example that an employer that offers more generous paid sick leave or paid time off is not required to change its accrual method.
