Instructor Led Online Courses are instructor-facilitated, internet-delivered versions of traditional AIB courses. Online Courses offer employees with busy professional and personal lives to access quality classes in a convenient manner. Students taking these Online Courses can apply those credits toward industry-recognized AIB Diplomas and Certificates.

There are over 20 titles available that will be delivered in more than 100 different sessions over the course of the year. ABA/AIB Instructor Led Online Courses are 5 to 16 weeks in length.

ABA Online Review Course for the CRCM Exam

Description: If you are planning on earning the prestigious Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, this course is a comprehensive and convenient way to prepare. This eight-week online course will use the ABA Reference Guide to Regulatory Compliance. Each week, you will read one section from the manual and complete quizzes to test your knowledge. Instant feedback will help you decide what topics you need to focus on. There will be a discussion board for each week's assignments so you can ask questions from a qualified mentor as well as review and discuss other student 's questions and comments.

ABA Online Review Course for the CTFA Exam

Description: Candidates who are planning on earning the prestigious Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers will find this course an additional resource and convenient way to review for the exam. It is designed as a companion study tool to the five-volume ABA Personal Trust Resource Series (PTRS). The study quizzes from the PTRS are used in the online course computer-graded quizzes to provide instant feedback. Participants are encouraged to take the Sample Test for each of the exam sections first to determine where they should concentrate their study. The quizzes may be taken multiple times. As a capstone to the course, learners may take an exam modeled after the CTFA exam.

Basic Administrative Duties of a Trustee

Description: A fiduciary has a duty to hold the assets of an estate or trust, to administer the assets solely in the interest of the beneficiaries, and to carry out the terms of the trust. Many of the specific categories of duties that fall under these broad classifications will be discussed in this course including basic trust administration, agency relationships, guardianships, and wills and the probate process.

Consumer Lending

Description: This up-to-date, insider's view of consumer lending offers essential information about the regulations governing credit practices, and reviews loan processing, cross-selling, and collections.

Economics for Bankers

Description: This program introduces you to the fundamental principles of economics. Special emphasis is placed on macroeconomics and topics of importance to you as a banker. The course covers the basics of economic theory and includes examples of the application of economics to banking.

General Accounting

Description: General Accounting provides a complete foundation in basic accounting procedures. This course presents the fundamentals of accounting in a practical, up-to-date, and easy-to-comprehend manner. The goal is to provide students with a strong basic knowledge of accounting terms, concepts, and procedures. Emphasis is placed on developing a firm foundation of fundamental procedures with appropriate repetition of content through the use of examples and color-coded illustrations.

Introduction to Agricultural Lending

Description: Designed for individuals who are new to agricultural lending or who have limited experience. Introduction to Ag Lending will provide participants with the basic skills needed to begin to undertake credit analysis, loan structuring, monitoring, and provide guidance on dealing with problem loans. This course was developed in conjunction with the Schools of Banking, Inc., a jointly-owned subsidiary of the Kansas and Nebraska Bankers Associations.

Introduction to Mortgage Lending

Description: The course covers construction and permanent financing for residential property; real estate law; documentation; mortgage loan servicing; the secondary mortgage market; the role of government in mortgage lending; and residential real estate as an investment. The discussion of underwriting, processing, and servicing will give participants a framework for learning the mortgage lending business and refining their existing knowledge. Additionally, the coverage of laws and regulations affecting mortgage lending provide an understanding of mortgage lending's history and a glimpse into its future.

Introduction to Trust Products & Services

Description: Introduction to Trust Products and Services is a foundational, skill building course for trust professionals. It will help new trust professionals understand the fundamentals of the business, how a trust works, the types of assets commonly held in a trust and the basics of estate planning. The course describes the personal trust document and the process by which trust officers establish a trust for their clients.

Law and Banking: Applications

Description: This newly updated AIB course reflects the ways that banks do business and how they are affected by laws and regulations --- in plain English for the non-lawyer. It is devoted to the basic laws and banking regulations that govern deposit accounts, lending, real estate lending, bankruptcy, non-deposit products and services, international banking, marketing, safety and soundness, and information reporting.

Description: This newly updated AIB course is a foundation on the business law principles underlying banking law as well as a description of the context for and process of creating banking law and regulations. Knowing the basics of business law enables every banker to more easily understand laws pertaining to bank products, services and transactions.
