Bankers Association names The Mechanics' Bank's Quenneville as
Committee Member of the Year
Annual award goes to chair of CBA's
Legal Affairs Committee
SACRAMENTO - May 5, 2004 - The California Bankers Association (CBA)
presented its annual Committee Member of the Year Award to Kathleen
Quenneville, general counsel for The Mechanics Bank, headquartered
in Richmond. The award was presented to Quenneville at CBA's Annual
Meeting of Bank Officers & Directors in north San Diego on May
3.
"Kathleen Quenneville has been a tireless champion of California's
banking industry," said Gary Gertz, president of CBA. "As
an integral member of CBA's Legal Affairs Committee, Kathleen has
been instrumental in helping the industry form its opinions on complex
legal and legislative proposals. But she has also served the industry
well as a member of both our ID Theft Task Force and as the chair
of our Financial Elder Abuse Task Force. Kathleen's commitment and
dedication is unwavering and exemplary, which is why we are so pleased
to present her with this honor."
The Committee Member of the Year is an annual award for CBA, and
honors the single committee member who most contributed to the success
and growth of the association each calendar year.
