California Bankers Association adds Gould to advocacy staff
in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO - February 18, 2004 - The California
Bankers Association (CBA) today announced the addition of Kevin
Gould to its Sacramento-based government relations team. With
extensive experience in legislative issues management, Gould joins
the CBA advocacy team as a Legislative Advocate.
"Our ability to effectively advocate on behalf
of our members is of paramount importance to the hundreds of financial
institutions that comprise our membership," said CBA president
Gary S. Gertz. "We are pleased that Kevin Gould has decided
to join our advocacy team in Sacramento. It is because of his
extensive legislative experience and his tremendous work ethic
that we have such confidence in his ability to represent the interests
of our member banks to California's legislators."
Prior to joining CBA, Gould served as Legislative
Director and Chief of Staff for Assembly Member Robert Pacheco.
During his time with Pacheco, Kevin advised Assembly Member Pacheco
on the Assembly Judiciary Committee where Pacheco was the vice-chair.
Additionally, Kevin staffed Assembly Member Pacheco on numerous
policy and budgetary committees including the Assembly Budget
Committee and budget subcommittees while also advising Pacheco
on the Assembly Health Committee and the Assembly Appropriations
Committee.
Prior to working with Assembly Member Pacheco, Kevin
worked for Assembly Member Gary Miller. Kevin graduated from California
State University, Sacramento with a bachelor's degree in Political
Science. Kevin and his wife Diane reside in West Sacramento.
