California Bankers Association adds White to advocacy staff
in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO - February 3, 2003 - The California Bankers
Association (CBA) today announced the addition of Douglas L. White
to its Sacramento-based government relations team. With extensive
experience in legislative issues management, White joins the CBA
advocacy team as a legislative advocate.
"We know that advocacy is one of the most important
services we provide our many members," said CBA president
Gary S. Gertz. "We are pleased to add Doug White to our team
because of his tremendous experience on the legislative side and
have full confidence in his ability to represent the interests
of our member banks to California's legislators."
Prior to joining CBA, White served as Legislative
Director for Assemblywoman Nicole Parra and as Press Secretary,
Campaign Manager and Principal Consultant to Assemblyman Dennis
Cardoza (now a member of Congress). White was also a consultant
to the Senate Majority Caucus, worked for the Fair Political Practices
Commission and the Human Rights/Fair Housing Commission. Additionally,
White headed up the Statewide Rapid Response Team for the California
Democratic Party in 1994 and 1995.
White graduated with his bachelor's degree in political
science from University of California, Davis and his juris doctorate
degree from McGeorge School of Law (University of the Pacific).
Doug and his wife Crystal live in Sacramento, Calif.
