2006 Washington, DC Fall Visit

General Information

The California Bankers Association (CBA) Federal Government Relations Committee invites you to join your peers at the historic Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington, DC for CBA's annual fall visit. The program will begin on Monday, September 18th, with registration at 5:00 p.m. and the Welcome Reception and Dinner at 6:30 p.m. The visit will conclude on Wednesday afternoon, September 20th, following our Capitol Hill meetings.

In past years, our agenda has included:

• Meetings with key regulatory officials of the FDIC, OCC, and OTS
  
• White House briefings
  
• Capitol office meetings with Senate Banking Committee Chairman Robert Bennett and Ranking Member Tim Johnson, House Financial Services Chairman Michael Oxley and Ranking Member Barney Frank, House Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Jerry Lewis, and members of the California Delegation

Who Should Attend
Bank presidents, chief executive officers, directors, and senior officers are all invited to attend. Senior bank officers interested in government relations, grassroots efforts and the political process will find this program very beneficial.

Registration Fees
There is no registration fee for this event. Deadline to register is September 8th. While there is not a spouse's program for this event, spouses/guests are welcome to attend.

Accommodations
A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at The Hay-Adams at a group rate of $315.00 for single or double occupancy. Make your reservations by calling The Hay-Adams at (800) 424-5054 and asking for the California Bankers Association rate. The group rates will be honored for attendees two days prior to group arrival and two days after group departure, based upon availability. To ensure you receive the group rate, please make your reservations on or before August 8, 2006. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

United Airlines is the official carrier of the California Bankers Association. To book your reservation, call United's Meeting Reservations Desk at (800) 521-4041 and receive an additional five percent discount off any published airfare from first class to the lowest applicable airfare or a ten percent discount off mid-week coach fares. Ground Transportation and Parking
The closest airport to The Hay-Adams is the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is convenient to the entire Metropolitan Washington Region. Taxi service is approximately $25.00 to The Hay-Adams. If you require a rental car, you may contact Budget Rent A Car at (800) 826-2090 and refer to CBA ID# U051957 for a discounted rate. The hotel will provide valet service.
