| CBA plans events according to demand and only
schedule a program when we have seen a need in our Membership
or received requests. We encourage banks to take an active role
in scheduling. We will run a program with enough students in
any location in the state. If that means we combine numbers
from neighboring banks to meet the minimum then that's what
we do.
Topical Seminars
These sessions are scheduled by CBA and hosted at pre-determined
locations. The topics focus on information that will keep
bankers abreast of changing trends and emerging issues in
our industry, i.e., Elder Abuse; BSA, FDIC Update. Students
register and pay for these classes independently, and class
size may be limited. Check out the current event calendar
for the latest schedule.
Regional Seminars
On a yearly basis regional classes are scheduled and hosted
by CBA, or requested and hosted by a bank, and then opened
up to other banks in the area. We offer a variety of programs
from professional development seminars to full-length, banking
specific courses. Students register and pay for these classes
independently, and class size may be limited. Some of the
planned programs for 2006 are listed below.
- Introduction to Commercial Lending (Western Banking School)
- Directors Certification (in cooperation with Bankers’
Compliance Group)
- Directors College IV (FDIC)
- Principles of Banking (AIB)
- Commercial Lending (AIB)
- Supervision (AIB)
Customized Seminars
In-house programs from CBA are an effective and economical
way to train your employees. With a flat fee pricing structure,
the more students that attend, the less you pay per student.
You can also work with the instructor ahead of time to customize
course content to meet the specific needs and culture of your
bank. .
Correspondence Study
This option to traditional classroom or online training
is available for selected courses.
