Kevin Gould, CBA’s senior vice president and director of state government relations, will review key state actions from the 2011 legislative session. Make sure you are fully informed of the California State Legislature’s efforts to enact legislation impacting the industry.
Appraisal Guidelines
This panel will discuss the new appraisal guidelines that include important changes in reviews, independence requirements, evaluations and policies on reporting unsafe and unsound practices.
Regulator Panel w/ Focus on Troubled Debt Restructures (TDRs)
This session consisting of the FDIC, DFI and a CPA will cover the new guidance on various facets of troubled debt restructures; including interpretation, determination and implications of a TDR as well as accruals vs. non-accruals, reporting and rules/implications related to upgrading of loans designated as TDRs.
Roundtable Discussions
This peer-to-peer discussion will focus on a number of industry hot topics that may include growth, quality and opportunity, credit terms and pricing, CRE, stress testing and concentration management, loan underwriting best practice, C&I and even stress management.
Loan Participations: Dealing with the Pitfalls in Today’s Environment
This attorney/commercial bank expert panel will discuss a variety of loan participation issues; including setup and administration, legal ramification/issues in collection of participated loans and the changing regulations surrounding participations.
